Job Description

NOW HIRING
Part-Time School-Based SLPA - Maternity Leave Coverage Speak Up Speech Therapy is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a temporary, part-time school-based position covering a maternity leave.
Start Date:
Late October/Early November 2026
Expected End Date:
End of March 2027 Potential for extension through the end of the school year
Setting:
School-based Caseload:
Primarily preschool-aged students
Schedule:
Part-time (M/T and Thursday)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Because the caseload consists primarily of preschool-aged students, applicants must have prior experience working with preschool/early intervention populations. Please do not apply if you do not have experience working with this age group. We are specifically looking for an SLPA who is comfortable and confident providing developmentally appropriate, play-based speech and language intervention to young children.
Requirements:
Current California SLPA license Previous preschool and/or early intervention experience- required School-based experience preferred Reliable, professional, and able to work independently while collaborating with the supervising SLP and school team Strong communication and documentation skills Preferred bilingual, but not necessary This is a great opportunity for an experienced SLPA looking for a consistent part-time position with the possibility of extending through the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. Pay is competitive and based on experience. Bilingual candidates may receive a higher rate.
