Job Description

This position is for a speech therapist to come to a pediatric outpatient center. Speech therapist MUST be Florida medicaid credentialed. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with children and adults to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. This role is essential in helping patients improve their communication skills, thereby enhancing their quality of life. The Speech Therapist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech and language abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs. Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills. Provide early intervention services for children with speech delays or disorders. Educate patients and their families about speech therapy processes and techniques. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in educational or clinical settings. Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in speech therapy practices. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and communication. Experience working in pediatrics or school settings is preferred. Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on empathy and support. Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to speech therapy. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
