This exciting position offers the opportunity to work with children, adults, and geriatric patients across various settings, including schools, clinics, and telehealth platforms. Your expertise in speech therapy and language therapy will directly impact patients' quality of life by developing personalized treatment plans and fostering collaborative relationships with families and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders using standardized tools and clinical observations Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric populations Deliver engaging therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, medical professionals, and other team members to ensure cohesive care and optimal outcomes Educate families on speech and language development milestones, home practice activities, and strategies to support ongoing progress Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session notes within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Stay current with advancements in physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language pathology Experience Proven experience working with children in pediatric settings such as schools or early intervention programs is highly preferred Demonstrated success in providing speech therapy and language therapy across diverse populations—including individuals with disabilities or speech impairments—using comprehensive evaluation methods Experience working with geriatric patients on communication or swallowing issues is a plus Familiarity with telehealth therapy delivery methods and prior telehealth experience enhances your ability to serve remote patients effectively Knowledge of multidisciplinary collaboration in speech-language pathology ensures seamless integration within healthcare teams Prior work involving patient care in clinical or educational environments that require detailed assessments and tailored intervention strategies is essential Strong understanding of anatomy related to speech production and physiology underpins effective diagnosis and treatment planning
