Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student communication and learning in a vibrant educational setting. This position begins February 1, 2027, and concludes June 11, 2027 and offers you a choice between two engaging caseloads for the spring semester: work with 4th-8th grade students (one building, 50 students, with 5 planned reevaluations) or serve a preschool and transition-aged group (40 students, 1 planned reevaluation). Both roles provide the chance to work closely with a supportive team and incorporate a wide range of AAC devices, including Eyegaze technology. Preferred candidates will hold an active Illinois State License and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). However, applicants currently in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are also encouraged.
Qualifications and Experience:
Illinois State License in Speech Language Pathology (or eligibility by start date) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates welcome Previous experience in school-based settings highly valued Familiarity with IEP processes and conducting reevaluations Proficiency using AAC devices, such as Eyegaze, is a plus Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Deliver direct and consultative speech/language services to your selected caseload Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to each student Complete regular progress monitoring and documentation Conduct scheduled reevaluations and support multidisciplinary teams Engage and communicate effectively with families, teachers, and staff Immerse yourself in a supportive environment where your expertise makes a real impact on students' growth and confidence.
