Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Casco, Michigan ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Casco, MI Job Details Full-time | Contract 4 days ago Qualifications General academic student support Student behavioral support Family collaboration in education Faculty collaboration Compliance monitoring Working with students Pediatrics Working with families Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act in education Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Step into a vital school-based role providing in-person speech-language pathology support to high school students in a dynamic educational setting. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity with a Monday through Friday schedule, running from 7:15am to 2:15pm each day. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 11, 2027, supporting general education students in grades 9-12. Ideal candidates bring strong clinical skills and a passion for empowering adolescent learners. Experience in schools or healthcare as an SLP or SLPA is highly valued, especially with a focus on pediatric or teletherapy work. New SLP graduates (CFYs) and those holding their CCCs are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Experience:
License (or eligible) as an SLP or SLPA in Michigan CCC-SLP or CFY welcome Background in working with pediatric populations, especially in school settings Comfortable supporting general education students in high school grades Strong collaboration skills with counselors, teachers, and families Ability to monitor 504 Plan compliance and provide academic/behavioral support
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and/or consultative speech-language services to high school students Maintain ongoing monitoring of student progress and grades Oversee Section 504 Plan implementation and ensure compliance Communicate effectively with parents—by email, phone, and in-person meetings Collaborate actively with teachers, counselors, and school staff Participate in staff meetings and contribute expertise as needed Additional responsibilities as assigned by school administration Imagine making a meaningful difference for high school students while working as part of a dedicated education team.
