Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners in Headstart ECSE classrooms near the Iron Mountain area. If you are passionate about pediatric speech-language pathology and ready to make a difference for a small caseload of students, this position could be an excellent fit for you. Your role will involve providing direct speech-language therapy services to preschool-aged children in a supportive educational environment. The assignment is part time, requiring approximately 6-8 hours per week, with the potential for slight adjustments depending on the final caseload. Work closely with a dedicated team of educators and bring your expertise to classrooms that truly value your contribution.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Michigan SLP license (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcomed Experience in pediatric or school-based settings highly desirable Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Passion for helping young children develop essential speech and language skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for preschool students Provide direct therapy services in classroom settings (Headstart ECSE) Maintain accurate records on student progress, IEP goals, and session documentation Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes Adapt therapy techniques to meet each childs unique needs and learning style This assignment runs from the present until June and offers meaningful part-time hours in a welcoming school community.
