Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Enhance student communication and support learning as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the full academic year in a welcoming school environment near Tecumseh, MI. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals interested in both ongoing, year-long positions at Blissfield Upper Elementary and MSHS, as well as short-term opportunities to cover maternity leaves in various locations. Both full-time and leave roles are open—ideal for SLPs seeking to make a positive difference in students' lives.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Active state licensure (or ability to obtain promptly) Experience supporting K-12 students in school settings preferred Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Positive, flexible approach to working with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy to students as specified in IEPs Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals Monitor progress and maintain accurate records, preparing reports as needed Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and special education staff Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams Provide support and resources to families to help students succeed Adapt services for a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels Working in these fulfilling contract roles, you'll benefit from a professional and supportive school setting and make meaningful contributions to student growth and school communities.
