Southern Pediatric Therapy is seeking a full time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) . This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric caseload in a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Mississippi , passionate about helping children reach their full potential, and comfortable working in a team-focused setting. Objectives Devote specialized knowledge, skills, and energy to helping patients achieve better quality of life. Assess patient needs and develop a therapy plan utilizing standardized assessment, clinical observation, and caregiver input that appropriately addresses the patient's ability to function as independently as possible Establish rapport and positive working relationships with patients and their families so that the clinic can provide the highest level of speech therapy services. Serve as primary, reliable source of up-to-date evidence based information about speech therapy for patients, caregivers, and others in the community. Responsibilities Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments of each patient's performance in everyday activities and formulate a therapy plan of care based on evaluation findings. Develop individualized, appropriate and meaningful treatment plans with measurable goals and realistic timelines. Assess patient progress during treatment and adjust methods when necessary. Work effectively with a variety of patients who have acute and/or long-term disabilities. Document and communicate patient progress in medical records. Conduct tasks directly related to patient care and caseload management. Required skills and qualifications
Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Current Mississippi Professional license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in good standing
ASHA Certification
Current CPR Certification
Effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, caregivers, and other team members
Passion for providing patients with high quality, evidenced based, ethical physical therapy services
Collaborative skills with other disciplines, colleagues and caregivers
