9541856-27012 Job Description Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists interested in making a meaningful contribution in school settings near Mocksville, NC. We are hiring for full-time contract positions beginning in fall 2026, extending through the end of the school year. The role is ideal for those passionate about supporting student communication and academic success.
Key Details:
Two assignments available (maternity and retirement coverages), with the possibility for one SLP to fill both from October 2026 through June 2027. Cover a maternity leave from October to December 2026: 2 days per week at a middle school, 2 days at an elementary school, approximately 45-student caseload. From January to June 2027, transition to an elementary caseload of approximately 55 students. Collaborate with staff to address all student speech needs, including supporting self-contained classes utilizing communication devices. Who will thrive in this role? Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required. SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates welcome. Pediatric and school-based SLP experience highly valued. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Experience working with diverse student populations and assistive communication devices is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services. Regularly document student progress and maintain timely, accurate records. Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students communication goals. Adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of students in various educational settings.
