Full-Time, Part-Time & Per Diem Opportunities Available Across Multiple Shifts CareOne at Parsippany The Speech Therapist is responsible for, but not limited to: Greets customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. Creates a positive first impression. Smiles, projects a positive attitude. Through the continuous improvement of standards of practice and by providing a safe and secure environment the customer will be assured a sense of safety and well-being, free from risk and harm. Contributes to the effectiveness of the department/unit by remaining within the acceptable standard of the Agency's Attendance/Tardiness Control Policy. Assumes responsibility for a patient caseload, demonstrating clinical expertise with specific diagnosis which include speech/language disorders. (Phonology, morphology, syntax, etc.) and dysphagia (oral, pharyngeal, esophageal and myofunctional disorders.) Speech therapy includes providing assessment, treatment and intervention to patients with speech, voice, language communication, swallowing and related disabilities. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the speech disorders. Provision of services that support the effective use of augmentative and alternative communication devices and other communication prostheses and assistive devices. Evaluate treatment outcomes to assess effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to their evaluations. Referrals are made in relation to their outcomes. Documents plan of care and all services provided. Maintains patient records according to Agency policy.
Education:
Master's Degree in
Speech Therapy Professional Experience:
Current Speech Therapist Certification in the state of operations 3+ years experience in Home Health, Acute Care setting or Rehabilitation Facility
