School Speech Language Pathologist - Plainfield, NJ

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in working with elementary students from kindergarten through fifth grade. This role runs from ASAP until late October 2026, providing you with a long-term assignment where you'll make a meaningful impact each day. Your expertise as a certified SLP-CCC will play an essential role in fostering communication skills and supporting students' individual needs within a caring and collaborative school setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start date) Experience delivering speech and language therapy in elementary school environments (K-5) Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for speech, language, and communication disorders Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all services provided Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
