Job Description

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center is looking for a skilled and fully licensed per diem Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our team to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting . The SLP collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes. Conduct evaluations and assessments for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. Provide direct therapy services to patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric populations. Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on communication strategies and swallowing precautions. Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic medical record (EMR). Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, ASHA standards, and state licensure requirements. Modified Barium Swallow Assessments. Other activities/responsibilities as determined by department manager Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, required Current New Jersey State License in Speech-Language Pathology, required BLS Certification is required Acute care experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
