Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - Telespeech Job Type Contract A virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, offering a four-day school week with 32 hours per week. This role supports school-aged children through teletherapy, providing specialized speech and language services tailored to individual needs. Located in Chimayo, NM, this opportunity requires candidates to hold a New Mexico state license (NMRLD) and a New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) credential, with the latter able to be in pending status by the start date. Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings and delivering teletherapy is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering speech and language therapy services to students virtually Developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes Collaborating with educators and families to support student progress Managing caseloads that align with professional capacity and student needs Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations Desired qualifications and experience: Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with a focus on pediatrics Demonstrated experience in school-based therapy and teletherapy delivery Familiarity with educational guidelines and therapeutic standards in school environments Strong communication skills and ability to adapt therapy techniques to virtual platforms Licensing and credentials valid for New Mexico practice (NMRLD and NMPED) This position offers a supportive work environment within a school district known for reasonable caseloads and consideration of caseload age preferences during the interview process.
