This full-time contract opportunity allows you to work closely with an inspiring and diverse population, including students with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other genetic disorders. Many students are non-verbal and depend on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, giving you the chance to apply specialized skillsets and share essential communication strategies. Key Qualifications:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current CCC-SLP certification Active state licensure to practice as an SLP Previous experience supporting high school students or young adults preferred Strong background in working with students utilizing AAC devices Comfort with diverse and complex communication needs Collaborative approach to working with educators, therapists, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings Conduct assessments and help develop or contribute to IEPs Implement and adapt AAC devices and strategies according to student needs Collaborate regularly with teachers, aides, and professional staff Offer guidance and support to families regarding communication strategies Document progress and update communication goals as needed Step into a meaningful role, developing individualized solutions and fostering growth for students on their path to greater independence.
