Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a K-12 school environment for the full academic year. This position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule (7:45 AM - 3:00 PM), running from September 8, 2026, through June 24, 2027. You'll work with a diverse mix of students, providing approximately 40 half-hour sessions each week, making a meaningful difference in their communication and academic success.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid and current SLP license or eligibility for licensure in New York ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience providing speech therapy services in a K-12 school setting Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to adapt therapy techniques for students across a wide range of ages and needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy sessions (30 minutes each), up to 40 sessions per week Administer assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and legal guidelines Adjust interventions to meet a variety of learning and communication challenges Advocate for students' speech and language development within the school community Imagine making a positive impact on students' lives throughout a full school year, with a supportive school-based structure and a manageable caseload.
