School-Based Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This contract opportunity provides an ideal environment for speech-language pathologists seeking to support young learners. Starting as soon as possible and running through May 28th, you will enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Work primarily with preschoolers, with a small number of school-age students, providing critical speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 30 children. Preferred candidates will hold their SLP-CCC or be eligible for their CFY. Experience in school settings or with pediatric clients is valued. Your expertise will make a positive, lasting impact on the lives of students as you collaborate with teachers and parents to foster communication development.
Qualifications:
Hold or be eligible for SLP-CCC or CFY Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Experience with preschool or early childhood populations preferred Familiarity with school-based SLP services and caseload management Ability to develop and implement IEPs for students Strong interpersonal and communication skills Appropriate state licensure or eligibility for licensure
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders Deliver direct therapy services to students according to IEP requirements Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student goals Complete documentation, progress reports, and relevant paperwork on schedule Attend and participate in IEP meetings as necessary Provide consultation and support for classroom teachers to integrate therapy goals A rewarding school-based assignment awaits, offering you a chance to guide essential early development in a supportive setting.
