Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication and life skills in a vibrant educational setting near Eugene, OR! This position serves a diverse caseload of approximately 33 students across two high schools and one elementary school. Working full-time from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027, you'll spend half of your week at Westmoreland campus—where specialized education is a focus—and the other half at Lane schools, assisting students in building vital social connections. In this role, you will: Provide speech and language services for students enrolled in life skills programs Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized plans for communication disorders Collaborate with special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff Implement safe eating protocols and feeding plans; training available if you're eager to build these skills Support students in using AAC devices to promote independence Maintain accurate records, track progress, and foster communication between teachers, students, and families Attend monthly team meetings (virtual) for ongoing collaboration with a supportive network of 12 SLPs Promote socialization and communication across various learning environments The following experience is sought, though not strictly required: Valid SLP licensure and CCC credential Prior experience within educational settings or providing school-based SLP services Familiarity with feeding/swallowing safety and AAC (training provided as needed) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently while accessing robust virtual and on-site support This contract offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule.
