Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist serving schools throughout the county. This full-time position is available for an immediate start, continuing through the end of the school year. Make a difference by supporting a variety of students as you travel to multiple campuses, providing high-quality speech and language services. Candidates must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and have experience working in school settings. Flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills are key, as you'll collaborate with educators, administrators, and families across diverse campuses.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP Previous experience in public school environments preferred Strong organizational and time management skills to manage itinerant caseloads Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Passion for supporting children's academic and social success
Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, and communication needs across several schools in the county Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and staff Travel as needed to assigned campuses, delivering direct and consultative services Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and regularly communicate updates with families and staff Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and professional development as required Serve as a resource for faculty, supporting inclusive classroom practices Enjoy the unique benefits of a county-wide itinerant position—variety in your daily routine, the ability to impact many students' lives, and opportunities for ongoing learning and growth.
