Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services within a supportive school-based environment near Medina, TN. This full-time position spans the entire school year and offers you the chance to work onsite, making a positive impact on students' communication skills and academic growth. You'll collaborate closely with educational staff, students, and families to foster meaningful outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or pending ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Active Tennessee SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start date) Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations strongly preferred Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy to students with varied needs and backgrounds
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services onsite to a diverse student caseload (caseload details to follow) Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing evaluations as needed Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state regulations Attend meetings with educators and parents to discuss student progress and strategies for support Provide guidance and resources to teachers and families regarding speech and language development Work independently—this position does not supervise SLPAs Enjoy a role that lets you see student progress firsthand and grow your skills within a stimulating educational setting.
