Job Description

This full-time contract position focuses on supporting a diverse K-12 population as a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The preferred candidate will bring a background in speech-language pathology and relevant healthcare, school, or pediatric experience.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC/CFY) Experience in schools, pediatrics, teletherapy, or healthcare settings SLPA experience in schools or healthcare welcomed Skilled in supporting children with diverse learning and communication needs Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to upholding individualized educational plans (IEPs) and best practices in special education
Essential Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to students in K-12 settings Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines Collaborate with speech-language professionals and support staff to foster students' academic and communication growth Document student progress and maintain appropriate records Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and help with parent communications Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs and offer a supportive, inclusive environment Remain apprised of new developments in special education and speech-language services This is a traditional on-site position (no virtual-only assignments), set in a supportive school environment near Enosburg Falls, VT.
