Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in an educational setting! This contract opportunity offers you the chance to collaborate with passionate educators and make a positive impact on students' communication skills. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through May 2027, giving you plenty of time to build relationships and develop your experience. In this position, you'll work 35 hours per week, supporting a diverse range of students. Caseload assignments and further details will be discussed during your interview, ensuring the right fit for your skills and interests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology SLPA licensure or eligibility in Alabama Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required Excellent communication and teamwork skills Passion for helping children of varying backgrounds and abilities

Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with screenings, assessments, and therapy sessions Prepare materials and adapt activities for students Track and document student progress and attendance Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to reinforce communication strategies Participate in professional development and stay informed on best practices
