School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Spring Valley, CA

Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students with speech and language needs as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This assignment offers a consistent schedule of 21 hours per week, working Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. within a welcoming school environment. The position is dedicated solely to SLPA candidates with prior school-based experience, ensuring you'll collaborate with a team passionate about student growth.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or certification in the state of California Previous experience supporting speech-language services in a school setting (elementary preferred) Ability to manage a caseload and deliver interventions under the guidance of a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist as required Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Reliable and enthusiastic approach to working with young learners
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy interventions in accordance with documented IEP goals and treatment plans Collect data and provide feedback to supervising SLPs as part of a collaborative team Assist with therapy materials, lesson preparation, and progress monitoring Foster a positive, inclusive environment in the elementary school community
Schedule Details:
Set hours: 21 per week, Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Position is on-site at a single elementary school Interview process begins in early October; the assignment is slated to start shortly thereafter This contract role is ideal for a school-seasoned SLPA who can make an immediate impact this October and is seeking consistent, part-time hours with built-in structure.
