Length of Work Year 8 hours per day; 180 work days/10 months per year Employment Type Full Time Benefits Benefits offered for employee and qualifying dependents Job Summary Job Summary Under general supervision of a credentialed Speech & Language Pathologist, assists in a variety of speech therapy related activities; to assist in speech therapy services to children with speech and language disabilities; to perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for Speech & Language Pathologist, to do other related work as required. Qualifications Education:
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Training or coursework in Communicative Disorders, speech therapy, child growth and development, special education, instructional technology, or a closely related field, preferred. Bilingual also preferred.
- Registration with the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is required within six (6) months of appointment.
Experience:
- Three years of comparable work experience working with children of various age levels requiring specialized learning environment.
- Field work experience (paid or voluntary), which involves learning the job responsibilities and workplace behaviors of the Assistant to the Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Copy of SLPA certification Copy of Transcript Letter of Introduction (or letter of interest) Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) letters written within last three (3) years) Resume Requirements /
