Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant where your expertise will directly support student growth and communication development. In this contract position near Manhattan, IL, you'll work hands-on with a caseload of approximately 20 students, providing therapy services tailored to their individual needs three days per week. This is a great opportunity for an SLPA with a passion for working in schools who thrives in collaborative, student-focused settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification Experience delivering therapy services to students in a school environment is highly preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Implement speech-language therapy sessions for a designated caseload under SLP supervision Carry out individualized education plan (IEP) goals, monitor student progress, and document outcomes Communicate regularly with students' families and educational teams regarding therapy progress Assist in developing and preparing materials and activities that promote student participation and progress Participate in school meetings as required to support student achievement and goals
