9668229-46947 Job Description Step into a rewarding role assisting elementary students with communication development! A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive school environment. Based near Michigantown, IN, this position begins October 5, 2026, offering consistent full-time hours, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM. As an integral part of the educational team, you will work with young learners alongside a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, making a meaningful impact each day.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid SLPA licensure or certification applicable in Indiana Experience supporting school-age children, especially elementary students, preferred Ability to implement therapy plans and follow guidance from a licensed SLP Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate and patient demeanor working with children Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to confidentiality protocols
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to elementary students as outlined by the supervising SLP Assist with implementing speech and language goals within the classroom and individual settings Monitor and document student progress toward individualized goals Collaborate with educators and other school staff to promote student success Prepare materials and maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment Participate in ongoing training and team meetings as required This contract position allows you to gain valuable school-based experience in a welcoming community setting with a consistent schedule and the chance to see real progress in your students skills.
