Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting contract role supporting a dynamic elementary school setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This position is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering communication skills in young learners and eager to contribute within a collaborative team. Work directly with students in kindergarten through fifth grade, providing essential services to help them reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
Active SLPA license and eligibility to work in an educational setting Previous experience in a school environment preferred Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach when working with children Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and support staff
Role Overview:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 25 elementary students (K-5) Work under the guidance and supervision of two experienced SLPs Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Collect data, monitor student progress, and maintain documentation as required Communicate regularly with team members and participate in staff meetings as needed Support classroom teachers by sharing strategies for enhancing student communication skills
