Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant! This opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic SLPA committed to fostering communication skills in a school environment. You'll provide vital leave coverage at one elementary campus, helping young learners reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting a dynamic caseload of elementary-aged students with speech and language needs Collaborating closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff Conducting screenings, assisting with therapy sessions, and documenting progress Adapting materials and activities to individual communication goals Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with school, state, and district policies Participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences when appropriate Preferred experience and qualifications: Active Missouri Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license Previous experience delivering services in a school setting (elementary age preferred) Understanding of IEP processes and progress monitoring Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to quickly adapt and support students' diverse needs Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and district credentialing, sending TCN number for clearance as part of onboarding Professionalism, reliability, and positive attitude This assignment offers a full-time, onsite schedule (37.5 hours per week), starting ASAP and continuing through mid-October. There is potential for an extended contract based on district needs.
