Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare and educational team. In this role, you will support Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering high-quality speech therapy services across various settings, including schools, clinics platforms. Your expertise will help children and individuals with disabilities improve their communication skills, support language development, and enhance their overall quality of life. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, implement speech therapy plans, and make a meaningful difference in clients' lives. Duties Assist Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans for children and adults with diverse communication needs. Support clients with speech disorders, language delays, voice disorders, fluency issues, and other communication challenges through targeted exercises and activities. Document client progress and therapy sessions accurately to inform ongoing treatment strategies. Collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support for clients' communication goals. Support early intervention programs by working with young children with developmental delays or disabilities in school or clinical settings. Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and speech-language pathology techniques to deliver effective support. Experience Current registration as a Speech -Language Pathology Assistant with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (or eligible for registration before employment). Able to work under the supervision of a licensed North Carolina Speech -Language Pathologist Prior experience working with children or students with disabilities in educational or clinical environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of child language development and speech-language pathology principles. Experience supporting clients with language disorders and implementing speech therapy strategies effectively. Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and early intervention programs enhances your ability to contribute meaningfully. Bilingual skills are advantageous for supporting diverse populations and improving client communication. Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery.
