Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team in. In this vital role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to children and students with diverse communication needs. Your expertise will help foster meaningful communication development, support language disorders, and enhance overall client outcomes. Duties Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized speech therapy plans tailored to each child's needs, including those with language disorders and communication challenges Support children with disabilities and those in early intervention programs by providing engaging therapy activities aligned with their IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals Conduct speech-language therapy sessions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including educators, occupational therapists, ABA therapists and medical professionals—to develop comprehensive treatment strategies for clients with complex needs Support client communication by facilitating language development exercises and supporting speech disorders such as articulation or fluency issues Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with clinical standards and regulations Demonstrate physiology and anatomy knowledge to assist in understanding clients' speech and swallowing functions, ensuring safe and effective therapy delivery Experience Prior experience working with children in pediatric or school settings is highly preferred Proven background supporting individuals with disabilities or special needs within educational or clinical environments Acute care experience is a plus, especially when working with clients requiring specialized medical or therapeutic interventions Familiarity with speech-language pathology concepts, including language development stages and common speech disorders Experience implementing telehealth therapy sessions effectively across diverse populations Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving multilingual clients and supporting language diversity Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech and swallowing functions enhances collaboration within multidisciplinary teams Join us to empower children's communication skills through compassionate support, innovative techniques, and collaborative teamwork.
