Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive educational environment near White City, OR. Work onsite, collaborating with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver exceptional services within a school setting. This position offers 35 hours per week, giving you the chance to make a tangible impact on students' communication growth in a structured, professional atmosphere.

Qualifications:

Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification. Prior experience working in a school setting as an SLPA (no new graduates). Strong understanding of speech and language developmental milestones in school-aged children. Excellent communication and organization skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families. Adaptable, dependable, and ready to manage multiple student caseloads.

Responsibilities:

Provide speech-language therapy support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Implement therapy plans and activities as directed, focusing on both group and individual student sessions. Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records. Assist in the preparation of therapy materials and adapt activities to meet individual needs. Participate in team meetings, sharing observations and progress to contribute to IEP and student success planning. Engage positively with students, staff, and families to foster a supportive learning environment.
