JOB OVERVIEW
As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of dental instruments and equipment. You will work closely with dental professionals to ensure a sterile environment for patient care. The ideal candidate for this role will be self-motivated and detail oriented. A general knowledge of sterilization and processing of instruments is a benefit. However, prior knowledge is not mandatory as we are willing to train a well-fitting candidate. We do have two offices, one in Evansville IN and one in Owensboro KY. This position is primarily based in Evansville, IN, with occasional travel to our Owensboro, KY office required . This position is part time, with hours typically Monday-Fridays with shifts from approximately 7:30-1:00pm. Hours may vary. DUTIES Include but are not limited to:
Implement proper sterilization techniques for dental instruments and equipment
Assist in the preparation and tear down of clinical operatories
Ensure the organization of instruments
Assist clinical staff with room setup, instrument organization, and delivery of instruments and supplies during procedures as directed
Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of pathogens
Manage the flow of sterilization to ensure availability of instruments
Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of sterilization equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Maintaining accurate sterilization documentation
Willingness to learn and assist with basic clinical and patient-care duties within the scope of the position
QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding and ability to uphold aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Ability to maintain a steady and often fast-paced work flow
Willingness to learn and take direction
Eager to learn and assist in basic patient care
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
