Job Description

We are currently offering a $8,500 sign on bonus for full-time hires.
Schedule:
6am-2:30pm
Position Summary:
Assembles instrument trays for surgical procedures using computerized count sheets and processes instrumentation for sterilization and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
Transports and restocks surgical instrumentation and medical materials within surgical suites and SPD according to departmental policies. Receives, sorts, cleans, and decontaminates soiled reusable instruments and equipment, manually logging items received. Operates and maintains cleaning and decontamination equipment such as washers, reprocessors, and pasteurizers. Inspects, prepares, assembles, and sterilizes surgical instruments and materials, following standardized lists and manufacturer guidelines. Loads, programs, and monitors sterilizers during sterilization cycles to ensure proper operation and safety. Manages telephone communications, providing routine information and directing complex inquiries to supervisors. Provides departmental leadership in the absence of senior staff, organizing daily operations and prioritizing work to meet clinical needs. Addresses customer requests, resolves issues, and completes daily shift reports to maintain smooth department workflow.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma/GED required
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in Sterile Processing required
Licensure/ Certifications:
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) OR certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required
