$2,100 Local Rate (within 50 miles): $45/hour on W-2 Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the operations, staffing, resources, and services of the Sterile Processing Department. The Supervisor will assist with planning, organizing, monitoring, staffing, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, purchasing, scheduling, payroll, employee training, and departmental operations. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Surgical Services, clinics, hospital departments, and other healthcare partners while maintaining excellent customer service and high-quality standards. Minimum Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent CRCST
Certified Registered Central Service Technician Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience CER
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification required Strong knowledge of Sterile Processing operations and regulatory requirements Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related field Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program 2 years of healthcare experience in Surgical Services and/or Sterile Processing Essential Job Functions Assist department leadership with day-to-day Sterile Processing operations.
Ensure departmental services comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and oversee departmental services and resources. Monitor departmental performance and implement quality improvement initiatives. Assist with long-range operational planning and development of departmental policies and procedures. Supervise, coach, train, and support Sterile Processing staff. Assist with staffing, scheduling, payroll, hiring, and employee development. Maintain clinical, technical, and managerial competency. Ensure staff training and competencies are completed as required. Demonstrate strong leadership and promote teamwork and collaboration. Work closely with Surgical Services, clinics, hospital departments, and customers. Maintain compliance with DNV requirements and hospital standards. Demonstrate excellent customer service and professional communication. Lead, teach, inspire, and support team members while maintaining hospital behavioral standards. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and managerial skills Ability to plan, delegate, monitor, and improve work performance Sound judgment and decision-making abilities Ability to remain professional and calm in a busy or stressful environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills Proficiency with standard computer applications, MS Office, EMR, and internet applications Ability to work varied shifts and respond to departmental needs Schedule Requirements Regular and sustained attendance is required. May occasionally require work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek. Weekend and after-hours coverage may be required. On-call responsibilities may be required based on organizational, patient, or employee needs.
