Overview We are a busy Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice with an awesome team! We are in the process of expanding our office and are looking to hire a Sterilization/Records Technician who is a great multi-tasker, friendly, reliable, compassionate, hard-working, and has a great attitude! In this vital role, you will be responsible for meticulously processing and sterilizing dental instruments, managing inventory of sterilization supplies, supporting the overall infection control protocols within the dental practice, and taking dental records as needed. This includes Panoramic X-rays, Periapical films, Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans, Intraoral Scans and/or photos. Responsibilities Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved sterilization equipment and techniques. Manage inventory levels of sterilization supplies and dental instruments, ensuring all items are available and properly stored. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument usage, and supply inventories in compliance with health regulations. Assist in preparing dental operatory areas by organizing sterile instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures. Follow strict aseptic techniques during instrument processing to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Support infection control protocols by adhering to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and other regulatory standards. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure all sterilization procedures are completed efficiently and accurately. Take records as requested by the doctors and surgical team- Panoramic X-rays, Periapical films, Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans, Intraoral Scans and/or photos. Requirements Dental Office or Oral Surgery Experience required. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Familiarity with sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and drying machines. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices in a healthcare setting. Ability to follow detailed protocols consistently while maintaining a positive attitude. Xray Certification required Prior records experience in the dental setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
