Responsibilities The Central Sterile Technician is responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies, computer data entry and patient charge card batching. Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within facility and ability to access all departments. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment. Additional Information

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.

High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014. 2. Two (2) years' experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred. 3. Central Supply Certified certification, preferred 4. Current BLS (AHA) certificate, preferred Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required): 5. At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required 6. Current BLS (AHA) certificate. 7. Central Supply Certified certification required 8.
