Sterilization Technician - Oral Surgery

Job Description

Join Our Team! We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our oral surgery team. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment and understands the importance of proper instrument processing and infection control. Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, package, sterilize, and properly store surgical instruments and equipment Follow OSHA, ADA, and office infection-control and sterilization protocols Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage Maintain organized sterilization and instrument storage areas Prepare surgical trays and instruments for daily procedures Assist the clinical team with room turnover and operatory preparation as needed Assist clinical team with acquisition of patient imaging Maintain adequate supplies and notify management when inventory needs to be replenished Keep sterilization areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Communicate effectively with doctors, surgical assistants, and other members of the team Qualifications Previous dental, medical, or surgical sterilization experience preferred Knowledge of infection prevention and instrument processing procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced surgical environment Dependable, organized, and able to follow established protocols Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move instrument trays and supplies Dental sterilization or infection-control certification is a plus What We Offer A professional, supportive team environment Training and opportunities to expand your skills and potential for growth into other roles Consistent schedule Opportunity to work in a specialized oral surgery setting If you are dependable, conscientious, and take pride in doing things the right way, we would love to meet you!
Pay:
From $18.50 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
