Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at a busy surgical dermatology practice. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care in various settings, including surgical consultation, surgical procedures, bandaging, and wound care.
Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures such as Mohs surgery and excisions.
Administer medications under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring patient comfort.
Collaborate with all team members to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
Experience working in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in medication administration and outpatient care procedures.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical office software.
