- We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at a busy surgical dermatology practice. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care in various settings, including surgical consultation, surgical procedures, bandaging, and wound care.
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures such as Mohs surgery and excisions.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Collaborate with all team members to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in medication administration and outpatient care procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical office software.
