We are seeking a Medical Assistant / Dermatology Surgical Assistant to join our busy, physician-owned dermatology practice. This role is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys assisting with in-office surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Previous dermatology or surgical experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong medical assisting experience. Responsibilities Prepare patients for in-office dermatologic surgical procedures Assist the physician during surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile field Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies Sterilize instruments and maintain surgical equipment Assist with wound care, dressings, and patient education Document procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR) Process and prepare pathology specimens Maintain infection control and OSHA standards Help ensure an outstanding patient experience Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred Experience as a Medical Assistant required Dermatology or surgical experience preferred Knowledge of sterile technique is a plus Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and patient service skills Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Compensation Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.
