Preferred Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech) Prior experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or in a similar role Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Thorough understanding of aseptic techniques and sterilization processes Proficiency in handling surgical instruments and assisting multidisciplinary surgical teams Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Role Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterile and available before procedures Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations with instrument handling and task execution Monitor and maintain a sterile field, upholding the highest standards of infection control Accurately account for all surgical tools, sponges, and supplies pre- and post-procedure Collaborate closely with team members to facilitate efficient workflow and patient safety Support patient positioning and preparation for surgical intervention according to guidelines Document effectively and maintain patient safety initiatives throughout all procedures
