1 Description American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a CVOR unit position requiring strong cardiothoracic and vascular scrub skills. Details Hospital CVOR unit covering cardiothoracic, vascular, and vascular hybrid surgical cases Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 6:45am-5:15pm), Monday through Friday case coverage On-call shifts required, including weekend and holiday on-call coverage as needed 13-week assignment length Requirements Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program, or LPN with minimum 2 years OR experience, or minimum 2 years experience as a Surgical Technician in the OR CST certification preferred BLS required License required if applicable Strong skills in endovascular and open vascular cases required Scrub experience in vascular, cardiovascular, vascular hybrid, and open heart cases required Ability to function effectively during stressful situations Visual acuity of 20/20 (corrected) including color vision when applicable Ability to hear, orally communicate, and perform CPR Good manual dexterity required Ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally Ability to stand and walk frequently, and bend, reach, stoop, and kneel frequently Additional Information Scrub for cardiothoracic, vascular, and open heart surgical cases Rotate shifts as needed, including weekends and call coverage Potential on-call requirement during department closures for federal holidays First-time travelers will be considered Accepts local candidates at the same rate
