Permanent Schedule:

Day Shift | 8:00 AM-5:00

PM Facility Type:

Mobile Diagnostic Imaging / Ultrasound Services Position Overview We are seeking a General Sonographer to provide mobile ultrasound services throughout the Kansas City service area. The majority of the work is performed at nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and other serviced locations using portable ultrasound equipment. A company vehicle is provided. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and process diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable sonographic equipment.
  • Travel to assigned facilities and obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images.
  • Digitally transmit completed ultrasound studies to Radiologists for interpretation.
  • Verify physician orders and patient identification before performing examinations.
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch, facilities, clients, and clinical teams.
  • Complete exam-related paperwork and billing documentation according to protocol.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle and ultrasound equipment.
  • Respond to urgent communications within the required timeframe.
  • Work independently with minimal direct supervision while maintaining professional standards.
  • Train other technologists as required. Required Qualifications
  • ARDMS or CCI registration for vascular ultrasound — Required.
  • General and Vascular ultrasound modalities — Required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • ARDMS certification required.
  • Limited licenses are not accepted.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required. Schedule & Compensation
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Weekend work may be required based on caseload and is treated as overtime
  • On-call requirements discussed during interview

Pay:
