Dixie Veterinary Hospital (DVH) is a state of the art small animal veterinary hospital offering full service veterinary medicine. We are a privately owned general practice and urgent care just outside of downtown Clarkston looking to bring on a veterinarian (full time or part time) to join our team. We are looking for a DVM with strong communication skills, a positive team player mindset who strives to grow and evolve with the industry while collaborating with our veterinary team. Our clientele compliance rate is very high as a result of the communication skills our staff and DVMs possess. DVH prides itself in practicing gold standard medicine through thorough client education. Dixie Veterinary Hospital was built in 2023 meaning all of our equipment and facility is all new. Our veterinary clinic has 5 exam rooms, a comfort room, a large treatment room, digital radiography, dental suite with digital dental radiography (all dentals receive full mouth radiographs) and a surgical suite with electrocautery. We also routinely bring in a sonographer for abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms. Our clinic is built on a team based atmosphere with a focus on maintaining a strong work life balance. Our office hours are Monday thru Friday 9-5, with no on call hours. DVH doctors are supported by a 6:1 support staff to DVM ratio and only allow LVTs (4 experienced LVTs on staff currently) to administer anesthetics, intubate, perform dental prophy and monitor anesthesia. We routinely block off appointment time for monthly staff meetings and quarterly staff team building exercises to help continue to contribute to the team oriented atmosphere. Qualifications:

Licensed to practice veterinary medicine (DVM) in Michigan Strong preventive medicine approach - routine blood work, preoperative blood work, vaccines, dental prophy Strong communication skills Thrives in fast paced efficient environment Prefers team environment that allows of efficient leverage of DVM Extra consideration if strong interest in surgery/dental procedures Typing of 40-50 wpm Comfortable with computer based medical records

Pay/Benefits:

Guaranteed base salary of $130,000/year, plus uncapped ProSal production incentive.
