As a Golf Shop Associate, you will provide exceptional service to members and guests, support daily golf operations, manage tee times and retail sales, and help create a first-class golf experience in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Position Summary Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a professional, customer-focused Golf Shop Associate to support daily golf operations at the prestigious Cap Rock Clubhouse. This role serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests, assisting with tee time reservations, golfer check-in, retail sales, tournament support, and overall golf shop operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, possesses strong communication skills, and is committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining the high standards of Horseshoe Bay Resort. Located along the shores of Lake LBJ in the Texas Hill Country, the resort provides a world-class golf experience for members and guests from around the globe. Key Responsibilities Greet members and guests in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner.
Manage tee time reservations, golfer check-in, and daily play schedules.
Answer phone calls, provide course information, and respond to guest inquiries.
Process retail and golf-related transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Assist with opening and closing procedures for the golf shop.
Maintain merchandise displays, visual presentation standards, and shop cleanliness.
Receive, organize, and replenish inventory as needed.
Support golf tournaments, member events, and special outings.
Coordinate with Golf Operations staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Promote merchandise, golf programs, and resort offerings to members and guests.
Maintain accurate records and follow established cash-handling procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Golf Operations leadership. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED.
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn golf management and point-of-sale systems.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Previous golf, retail, hospitality, country club, or resort experience preferred.
Knowledge of golf terminology and golf operations is a plus.
Experience handling cash and retail transactions.
