This individual will support the daily operations of the Golf Department while assisting with member services, golf events and tournaments, player development, merchandising, and overall golf shop operations. Experience Required High School Diploma or GED College Degree Preferred Minimum three (1) year experience golf course management preferred. Position can be trained on the job upon employment. Essential Responsibilities Essential Functions include but not limited to the following: Understand and carry out the policies of Bentwater Yacht & Country Club and the Director of Golf. Actively enrolled in the GPTP apprentice program of the PGA of America with intent to pursue membership. Assist Merchandiser in selling, stocking and displaying all merchandise. Responsible for taking reservations and registering players in a professional manner. Efficient marshaling and starting of the golf courses, enforcing Bentwater's rules and regulations, understanding our maintenance program on the golf courses and, where applicable, being involved. Maintain clean and neat golf shop, front counter and surrounding areas. Assist in any duties that may arise during the day-to-day operations and, at all times, conducting himself/herself in a professional manner protecting the image of Bentwater Yacht & Country Club. Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times while on duty and adhere to the dress codes presented by the Director of Golf and Head Professional. Observe methods of teaching by watching Director of Instruction conduct lessons, clinics and golf schools. Maintain golf game to a level becoming of a Golf Professional.
