Job Description

At Afghan Kabob House, great food starts with great people. We are a family restaurant serving authentic Afghan cuisine made with fresh ingredients, aromatic spices, and 100% Zabihah halal meat. Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do and we want every guest to feel like an honored member of the family, and every team member to feel proud to show up. We are looking to hire a Bread and Ice cream maker that can make in house-made breads and ice cream.
Key Responsibilities:
Bake fresh bread daily. Create Afghan ice cream flavors, including seasonal specials. Requirements & Qualifications 2+ years of baking or ice cream production experience; flatbread and Afghan bread experience preferred. Creativity and interest in developing new and seasonal flavors. Ability to follow recipes precisely and produce consistent quality in volume. Early-morning availability for daily bread baking. Knowledge of food safety, including allergen awareness. Valid California Food Handler Card. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around hot ovens and cold storage.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
Experience:
Baking and culinary : 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
Food Safety Certification (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred)
