In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Mexican baked goods, including traditional breads, pastries, and confections, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency. We are located in Maywood. Payrate is $19 per hours and we have two shift available: 2 am to 10:30 am and 1 pm to 9:30 pm Responsibilities Prepare a variety of traditional Mexican breads such as conchas, bolillos, and pan dulce with precision and consistency Follow established recipes and baking procedures to ensure product quality Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, and slicing machines safely and efficiently Decorate cakes and pastries with attention to detail using various cake decorating techniques Package baked goods attractively for retail display or catering orders Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards Assist in food preparation tasks related to pastry preparation and other baked items Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; report shortages promptly Ensure adherence to food handling regulations and safety protocols at all times Experience Proven experience in baking or pastry preparation within a bakery, restaurant, or catering environment Strong knowledge of Mexican baking traditions and techniques Experience with high-volume production is preferred Skilled in using kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools Familiarity with food safety management practices and proper sanitation procedures Ability to perform basic math for measurements and recipe adjustments Customer service experience is a plus for retail or catering roles Previous work in food production or the food industry demonstrating reliability and craftsmanship Apply at:
