Job Description
Assist customers and bake products. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. Minimum
- High school diploma or general education degree; or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to pass drug test
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis and overtime as needed
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
- Familiarity with bakery terms and processes
- Ability to work within set time frames/fixed deadlines
- Fred Meyer lift truck certification/license
- Any licenses or certificates required by federal and/or state Desired
- Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
- Food service experience
- Baking experience
- Customer service experience
- Related retail experience
- Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
- Provide customer service
- Prepare for store opening
- Prepare bakery product for morning sales
- Prepare frozen product for afternoon and next day sales
- Bake bread product for afternoon and next day sales
- Bake croissants, cookies, pies, and cinnamon rolls
- Perform housekeeping duties in department
- Maintain production records
- Tag product
- Perform backup functions for counter person
- Make public announcements regarding specials, ads, new items, and fresh bakes
- Stock/restock shelves, displays, and other merchandising areas
- Answer telephones
- Comply with corporate policies
- Understand and take orders for cakes
- Promote and follow Company initiatives
- Comply to all safety guidelines and standards
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
