Schedule/Hours:

Tuesday-Saturday (times vary slightly but generally 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. except on Fridays) Early Bake Shift on Friday is 3:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

About Our Bakery:

We are a mountain town bakery currently open to the public on Fridays with changes to that schedule during the major holidays. We have a full week of prep and baking shifts to prepare for our Friday bake sale. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join us, master our daily operations, and potentially take a leadership and assistant management role. Our bakery team is small and we care deeply about creating interesting high quality products to offer our customers. We make everything in house and rely on seasonal produce and flavors to come up with our menu each week.

This is not just an hourly job; it is a career pathway. As you hit your performance milestones, you will receive direct mentorship to transition into Head Baker and Assistant Manager position. Prior commercial baking/culinary experience or culinary/baking school training plus a strong work ethic are required.

Responsibilities:

Laminating doughs, scaling & mixing sourdough and other yeasted breads, hand shaping and baking Loaves Scaling and mixing a variety of cookies, doughs, cakes, and fillings Baking cakes, cookies, and other pastries Finishing and decorating sweet and savory baked goods Restocking ingredients to ensure a smooth kitchen flow Organizing and placing weekly food orders Writing a daily prep list to ensure all components are completed Executing pastry menus developed by pastry management Unloading food and product deliveries; lifting at least 50 lbs. Helping to keep the kitchen and production space clean and organized Serving Customers during Friday's Bake sale i.e. packing boxes, running a register, re-stocking racks Support of media/marketing for social media including product photos and posting Supporting other pastry team members when needed Maintaining an organized, safe, and clean work environment Communicating and working with others with kindness

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
