$20.00 per hour plus tips Must have experience About the Positions Kei Coffee House is hiring a Baker to join our team. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in preparing high-quality food and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Job Responsibilities Measure and combine ingredients according to recipes and specifications to ensure accuracy and consistency. Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products. Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor baking times and temperatures and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality. Decorate and finish baked goods using icings, glazes, and other decorative elements. Follow the direction of the Lead Baker and management to maintain bakery standards. Handle, store, label, and rotate ingredients and finished products properly. Assist with inventory tracking, stock organization, and supply needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in accordance with food safety regulations. Clean and maintain bakery equipment, tools, and work areas. Support food preparation assignments during slower bakery periods as needed. Complete assigned opening and closing duties and assist team members with kitchen closing procedures. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet production goals and customer demand. Attend scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty. Qualifications One to two years of experience as a baker or in a similar food-production role preferred. Knowledge of baking methods, recipes, ingredients, and food-preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper product-handling procedures. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler Card; the company will provide assistance as applicable. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established quality standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in a hot and humid kitchen environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently reach, bend, and stoop. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including hot or heavy trays. Manual dexterity and ability to safely use bakery equipment, kitchen tools, and utensils.
